Mississippi Health Safe Net Selects CareMessage as Partner for Patient Communication

Jackson, Mississippi — July 11, 2022

Mississippi Health Safe Net has selected CareMessage- the leading patient activation and communication platform for safety-net healthcare organizations- to help achieve goals of enhancing the patient and provider experience for its member organizations.

Mississippi Health Safe Net is a not-for-profit Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) with the goal of assisting all Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Mississippi to become patient-centered medical homes, effectively utilizing data, and acting as the centralized health information technology resource for those FQHCs. In the past 7 years, Mississippi Health Safe Net has grown from 11 FQHCs operating 72 sites across Mississippi and serving over 100,500 patients annually, to 16 community health centers, operating in 161 sites, serving 177,658 unique patients per year.

The CareMessage platform will enable the community health center members of Mississippi Health Safe Net to improve their communication with patients, via more efficient and effective methods of patient communication compared to phone calls, mailed letters, and texting from the EHR. Integration with the Azara DRVS centralized data reporting and analytics solution will further advance the value of this offering, allowing for increased efficiency and the ability to act on key patient data.

“The CareMessage mission is to leverage technology to help safety-net organizations to fulfill the essential needs of underserved populations. This partnership with Mississippi Health Safe Net is a tremendous opportunity for us to help their member organizations be more efficient with their time and improve health outcomes for the patients in their care,” said Vineet Singal, CEO and co-founder of CareMessage.

“Mississippi Health Safe Net improves access to care, enhances quality of care and achieves cost savings by integrating services to optimize patient outcomes on behalf of our participating health centers. We look forward to our partnership with CareMessage as a valuable tool for continuing the progress we’ve achieved to date with our member organizations,” said Terrence Shirley, CEO of Mississippi Health Safe Net.
