KKR COVID-19 Relief Effort Highlights CareMessage Work with Vulnerable Populations

In May 2020, global investment firm KKR launched the KKR COVID-19 Relief Effort, a $50 million philanthropic fund designed to support those affected by the COVID-19 crisis. A recently published progress report detailed the key initiatives of the effort, one of which was serving the most vulnerable populations during the pandemic.

CareMessage was honored to receive a $500,000 grant out of the Relief Effort. This grant supported the general operations of CareMessage and allowed us to effectively facilitate distribution of information about COVID-19 vaccines.

To date, over 13M vaccine-related messages have been sent via CareMessage. More than 260 safety net organizations across 41 states fielded over 6,400 unique vaccine-related outreach campaigns to their patients. We continue to update our COVID-19 messaging library to provide the most relevant and up-to-date content for safety-net organizations to use in connecting with their patients, and recently updated our library to drive vaccine boosters and vaccine outreach for children.

CareMessage is proud to have allowed for broad connection with underserved patients during a time of great uncertainty. Read more about the KKR COVID-19 Relief Effort here.
