Cecilia Corral, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, and Vineet Singal, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, were two of the 18 award winners from 15 organizations within four categories. The Social Entrepreneurs category honors individuals employing innovative, market-based approaches to directly address social issues.

CareMessage is a U.S-based technology non-profit building the largest patient engagement platform for low income populations in the United States. CareMessage aims to improve health equity for 5 million people annually by 2028. The CareMessage platform enables organizations to combine messaging, data and interoperability to increase access to care, improve clinical outcomes and address social drivers of health.

According to The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the Motsepe Foundation, the 2025 award winners are values-driven entrepreneurs pioneering transformative business, social development and environmental  models that are helping build a more equitable and sustainable world.

Corral has been driven by her experience growing up in a low-income immigrant household, combined with her foundational skills in product design engineering developed while at Stanford University. She ensures a human-centered approach to CareMessage’s work. Corral also is an advocate for Diversity and Inclusion in the tech industry, collecting and publishing data on Latina Tech Founders.

Singal’s passion for improving healthcare access stems from his own personal health challenges and volunteering at safety-net clinics as a pre-med student at Stanford University. An Echoing Green Fellow, a DRK Foundation Fellow and a Y Combinator alumnus, Singal has also led a campaign to register 115,000 bone marrow donors from under-represented communities.

Corral shared, “We are grateful for the opportunity to showcase our work on a global stage, but more importantly to elevate the visibility of safety-net organizations who deliver more than healthcare to low-income communities nationwide. This award is for us, but also for the Free Clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and Tribal Health Organizations who elevate the role of primary care across the United States.”

This award kicks off a multi-year engagement with the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, where Corral and Singal join a group of almost 500 of the world's leading social entrepreneurs and innovators whose work is impacting 931 million lives worldwide.
