Alabama Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (AAFCC) Members Gain Access to CareMessage Platform to Improve Health Equity
The Alabama Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (AAFCC) has partnered with CareMessage — the leading patient activation and communication platform for safety-net healthcare organizations — to help achieve its goal of driving down no-show rates and improving clinical outcomes in its patient population.
The mission of the AAFCC is to advocate, network, and support its clinic members who provide free and charitable medical services to the uninsured and economically vulnerable residents of Alabama.
By using the CareMessage platform, health center members of AAFCC will be able to improve their communication with patients, via more efficient and effective methods of patient communication compared to phone calls, mailed letters, and texting from the EHR. They also aim to improve no-show rates, especially for those located in more rural areas, by sending appointment reminders. In order to ensure all free and charitable clinics in Alabama have the option to access CareMessage, AAFCC will cover the costs for all their members.
“We are grateful for this opportunity to serve more health centers in Alabama,” said Vineet Singal, CEO and co-founder of CareMessage. “We look forward to helping AAFCC member organizations be efficient with their time and improve health outcomes for the patients in their care.”
“We look forward to our partnership with CareMessage as a valuable tool for helping our free and charitable clinic members reach more patients and get them into care,” said Mike O’Malley, Executive Director of AAFCC. “We are thrilled to be able to cover the cost of CareMessage for our members, to ensure they have access to this invaluable resource.”
